Saturday Morning, April 28 Several Roads in Dix Hills Will Be Closed for Alec’s Run
Between 9 and 11 AM this Saturday a fund-raising run will be held in Dix Hills in a area bounded by Wolf Hill Road, Old Country Road, Dix Hills Road and Caledonia Roads. A Map of Road Closings is attached.
The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic during that time:
Beltaine Drive, Caledonia Road (between Carman and Wolf Hill Roads), Caterina Court, Chantilly Court, Collingwood Drive, Deanne Court, Dix Hills Road (between Caledonia and Old Country Roads), Filomena Court, Hunter Court, Indian Hill Court, Ingold Drive, Jeanine Court, Karbe Place, Kendrick Lane, Old Country Road (between Wolf Hill and Dix Hills Roads), Ona Avenue, Plymouth Road, Schubert Court, Sellger Court, Signal Court, Sunflower Court, Suzanne Court, Willard Way, Wolf Hill Road (between Caledonia and Old Country Roads).
The following streets will be partially blocked:
Arbor Lane (at Caledonia Road), Beverly Road (at Old Country Road), Carman Road (at Wolf Hill Road), Darby Drive (at Old Country Road), Livingston Place (at Dix Hills Road), Longwood Drive (at Old Country Road), Melrose Road (at Wolf Hill Road).
Alec’s Run celebrates the brief life of 16-month old Alec Nelson and seeks to educate the public about the little known dangers of the blind spot behind vehicles. More information is available at their website.
