While reading The Long Islander recently, an ad caught my eye. I remember trying to find something interesting, educational and different for my children at that age. Thought this looked worthwhile!
The Huntington Historical Society is sponsoring a Passport to the Past summer camp program for children, ages 7-12. The program is designed to make history interesting as well as fun. Children enjoy the crafts, games and everyday experiences of children during the Colonial and Victorian eras.

Weaving on looms
Dye and Spin wool
Use old tools
Bake bread in a Bee-Hive Oven
Visiting various historical sites
